Muscles burn Fat. A clean eating regimen helps with incinerating fat and building muscles. Muscles give definition to your body frame. I’m proof that lifting weights DO NOT bulk you up.
I have been doing Beach Body programs now since May 2011. I started with Hip Hop Abs with Shaun T and currently doing round #2 of Chalean Extreme. I’ve lost a total of 26 lbs due to Beach Body products- 20 lbs just from doing the 3 phase circuit training on Chalene Extreme. I do weight training 3X and cardio 2X a week ranging from 30-58 mins a session. I also workout an additional 30 minutes strength/cardio combo during my lunch time at work.
I recently started keeping a food journal as of August 2011. It has totally upped my accountability to a new level. I’ve seen first hand the correlation of the quality vs quantity of food and how it effects your body and training. I use Myfitnesspal.com and its apps on my phone to log my daily food and exercise. My eating regiment is still based on Michael Thurmond’s 6 Weeks Body Make Over. I know my body type and what combination of foods help rev my metabolism. I still enjoy my carbs as long as it’s not processed in combination with protein, veggies and fruits. Trust me… I eat plenty! 5-6 meals a day- every 2-3 hours intervals.
My other motivation in this journey is Weightlosswars.com. It is a fast weight loss community where you will find how to loose weight fast, find motivation and support from others who have similar goals and struggles. I’m currently competing in two competitions- 20 weeks duration, in which I can share a cash prize as long as I loose 7.5% weight. I’m glad to say that with less than 6 weeks left on my first competition, I’m on top 3 out of 12 people with 8.77% weight loss. You can friend me there also as AveryWays.
