Must be following me. Must reblog. No limit. All promoted in lists tomorrow. Favorites bolded. GO :D
As of today, I’m in 3 different www.weightlosswars.com competition. I just realized I haven’t done an update since last month about it and it’s now only 36 days left until my first comp ends (June 2, 2012). I initially joined it back February 25, 2012 with starting weight of 159.4lbs. 10% basically means I have to loose 15.94 lbs.
As of today, I’m down to 153.8 lbs- 6 lbs down. With 12 lbs and 6 weeks left, I must drop an average of 2 lbs a week to qualify to share in the $ prize. Sounds impossible? Actually not really. In between then and now, I trained for a half marathon and completed my first ever on March 18, 2012. No one mentioned that my body would take some time to recuperate from this… I was at 156 lbs the day before my NYC half marathon and was hoping to see 155 lbs the following weekend… FAIL! With muscle soreness and built up of lactic acid, I went up to 164 lbs. I asked my Team in Training coaches and they all said it takes the body at least 2-4 weeks to recover from it.
I was frustrated to say the least. I wanted to hit 150 lbs this month. I persisted and got my head back in the game. I ran my first 4 miles race last Sunday. I started to keep track of my caloric intake versus what I burned. I weighed my self Monday (4/23) at 159 lbs (+3 lbs gain from my last week weigh in of 156 lbs). Tuesday (4/24) at 157 lbs. Wednesday (4/25) at 156 lbs. Thursday (4/26) at 155.8 lbs.
This morning the scale read: 153.8 lbs. Sticking with the same eating routine today, going for a run during lunch (3-4 miles) and hoping to see 152 lbs perhaps tomorrow… I’ll certainly post that pic on here that’s for sure :)
Stay Strong Fitblrs. One step at a time.
Eating 1700-1900 calories a day and averaging out 1-2 lbs weight loss a week :)Twice that. Food is fucking awesome.
